MV BALANCE

2-6 year olds new to biking and looking to progress their skills

  • Children up to 6 years of age looking to test and progress their cycling or balance bike skills in a friendly and fun environment.

  • Balance bikes are fantastic for developing children’s balance and basic skills to help them learn to ride alone quicker than using traditional stabilisers. We offer a friendly and safe environment for your child to gain experience on the bike in different terrains.

    They can make new friends and have fun while learning.

    Let’s not forget, maybe you will make some friends too and enjoy a Coffee whilst doing so.

  • Safe exclusive use of our Green and Blue pump tracks along with our mini off-road slalom trail

    Our bike Park Coach on hand at all times to supervise the session & set fun challenges for the kids to help improve their balance and bike skills.

    The aim is to get the children to be able to scoot the bike over mixed terrain and be able to have the confidence to pick their legs up as they go along and carry momentum in a safe manner.

MV MINI SENDERS

6-12 year olds new to mountain biking or looking to improve there existing skills

  • These sessions are suitable for children aged 6-12 who are either new to mountain biking or would like to improve there skills to enable them to confidently ride green & blue trials unassisted at speed with enjoyment & confidence.

    All riders must be able to ride their bike unassisted and stop using both brakes in a safe and controlled manner.

  • if you are new to Mountain biking and want to learn and develop your park skills to keep you safe and enjoy riding you bike. Whilst learning new skill you will also be able to make new friends whilst riding your bike and having professional coaching from fully Qualified British cycling coaches.

  • Our coaches will tailor the session to make sure everyone has a focus of improvement of that day.

    We asses each child on an individual basis and will work with that child so they progress at their own speed. We will recommend to parents/guardians once we feel they have the skills to progress into our MVSenders Coaching/Jam sessions as they gain the confidence and skills to ride with more independence.

    All riders must be registered to ride with us at MVBP, please register your child to ride before booking onto a session.

MV SENDERS

10-16 year olds NOT new to mountain biking looking to push their limits and develop a robust skillset on the bike

  • 10-16 Year olds who are able to confidently ride red trails unassisted without stopping and starting. All riders should be able to ride independently and feel confident to ride with other members of the group as well as the coaches and assistants.

    We recommend that all children start in our Mini Senders Coaching classes first before progressing to this session. We assess each child on an individual basis and will work with that child so they progress at their own speed. We will recommend to parents/guardians once we feel they have the skills to progress into our MVSenders Coaching/Jam sessions as they gain the confidence and skills to ride with more independence. If you are unsure if your child should progress straight into this group or attend mini senders please contact Anthony our head coach before booking on for a session.

  • if you want to develop a new set of park skills with professional coaching all our coaches have a vast amount of knowledge from racing or even how to style it up over the jumps of be super fast over section of the trails.

    They can make new friends and have fun while learning.

    Let’s not forget, maybe you will make some friends too and enjoy a Coffee whilst doing so.

  • These Mountain Bike Group Sessions are designed to help you achieve your MTB goals in a stress-free environment with the support and encouragement of the other ladies in the group alongside informal coaching from a fully qualified British cycling coach.

  • If you are new to the Bike park world and would like an introduction on how to ride at the park safely and confidently then this is the course for you.

HOLIDAY CLUB

6 - 14 YEARS OLD hOLIDAY CLUB

  • If you want to learn some new skills on your MTB with your mates from our coaches then this is where you need to be.

  • You will be required to sign in at the Bike Park reception where you will be introduced to the coaches. The session will consist of a brief bike safety check, rider assessment on the trails before we set out for the session . During the session, you can expect professional coaching, Time to ride all of our trail suited to your ability. These sessions are aimed at young riders who already have a passion for MTB and are designed to build their confidence when out exploring their local trails with the rest of the family!

  • A well-maintained Mountain bike with two fully functional brakes. This does not need to be a high-end bike however it will need to be a good quality mountain bike suitable for the terrain in the park and in good working order.

  • Maximum limit: 10 per group

    Coaching Session: Thursdays

    AM 10-12:30 Ages 6-10

    PM 13:00 15:30 Ages 8-11

    Duration: 2.30 hours

  • Riders must be confident in riding green graded trails unassisted. Must be able to ride on their own with no support and control the bike at different speeds and stop confidently using both brakes effectively.

Jumps course

  • These sessions are suitable for anyone over 18 who wishes to improve their mountain bike skills in a relaxed environment.

    Whether you are new to mountain biking or have years of experience our coaches will tailor the session to make sure everyone has a focus of improvement forr that day.

    All riders must be able to ride their bike unassisted and stop using both brakes in a safe and controlled manner & be comfortable riding blue graded trails at a minimum.

  • This course will use our Blue & Red Intermediate trails.

    Core skills – from bunny hops on the flat to tackling in trail jumps and gaps.

    How to Get the most POP from your bike including bike set up.

    How to land safely and confidently transition to the next feature.

    Improve confidence

    Learn to assess the speed needed to come into jumps.

    Evaluate and understand mental blockers that may be stopping you from progressing.

    *Free Time to socialise and practice what you have learnt. Once the session is over you are invited to use the trail centre facilities until the end of the daytime session, 4 pm or earlier in cases of poor visibility in winter.
